Dry Needling

Dry needling is a procedure that is used by our Physical Therapists to effectively treat acute, chronic orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions.  The goal is to reduce muscle pain and dysfunction.

Small filament needles are used to release tight muscles, also referred to as trigger point. Trigger point is pain related to a discrete, irritable point in skeletal muscle or fascia not caused by local trauma, inflammation or infection.

Common conditions treated with Needling:

  • Fibromyalgia
  • Chronic pain
  • Plantar fasciitis
  • Myofascial pain
  • Knee/shoulder/rotator cuff pain
  • Tension headaches
  • TMJ
  • Neck and Low Back Pain
