Foot and Ankle dysfunction

Our feet and ankles

…are made up of 28 bones and 33 joints, and they are what transfer force up the legs when we are performing weight-bearing activities, or activities with our feet on the ground. These joints must allow for the right amount of stability (less or no movement) and mobility (movement) depending on what type of activity you are performing, as well as being able to switch between the two quickly. When either of those are lacking, pain at the foot or ankle are often associated with trauma or injury, disease, poor biomechanical alignment, a sudden increase in training, or wearing improper footwear.

A few of the common conditions that we see
and treat at CORE include the following:

Ankle sprains/strains (Acute and Chronic)

Tendonitis/Tendinosis

Plantar fasciitis

Achilles tendon injuries

Shin splints

Broken ankle/broken foot

Surgical ligament reconstruction

Surgical tendon repair (Achilles, Posterior Tibialis, Peroneals)
